Well my Charger has started fixing itself. Over the spring I redid my dash with the help of Skatpack. And installed a Retrosounds radio. Put everything together and started putting some miles on it. Hit a little rain so I used the wipers and they refused to park. I figured I must have dislodged a wire on the back of the switch so I just shut the wipers off at their lowest point and figured I’d get into it this week. Well Saturday I took her out for a spin and about an hour into the drive the wipers parked themselves. I never touched the switch, didn’t hit any potholes or anything. And now the are back to working fine again

Don’t go wreck it just to see if it straightens itself out! You might be disappointed!:lol:

may have been a little water or wire? I’d still look at it and check it out

There's a "switch" inside the motor assembly itself.
When you move your driver's panel control switch to "off" it changes the circuit to go through that switch.
It moves the power to go through that switch and a cam on the rotating main gear hits the switch and stops the motor at the correct position.
I suspect that is what caused your intermittent problem.
To restate, the switch is operated by the gear during every rotation regardless.
But it only uses that switch to stop the motor when you have moved your control panel switch to "off".

The problem with it is they never completed the wiring diagrams to include the motor internals.
It always is just generic when you reach that point.
I suspect they just would replace a defective motor and didn't plan on trouble shooting to that level.
