In the garage. Under the hood. Again.
Fired up the lovely Sabrina and motored down to the Chrysler Employees show at the Chrysler Museum. Incident free, except for losing my driver's side mirror-just the housing and mirror, not the stand-on I-75 southbound. Even went back to look for it,and it was nowhere to be found. Switched the passenger's side unit over when I got there. Looks like it's time to hunt for a nice pair in the ad section and at the swaps. Like I need to spend more $$... Anyway;took a bunch of pics for your enjoyment,so...enjoy. You're welcome.

We'll call this: "Big Girls Need Lovin' Too!" And...these were some B-I-G girls;none of them would fit in my garage.

This car was featured in Car Craft magazine back in 1985. Still around, and every bit as bad-*** as it was then. If I wasn't such a nut for '64s and I had the $$,I'd build something like this to terrorize the Chevy hordes up here in the Flint area.

If you're going to play on the East Side of the D(or anywhere in Detroit, but ESPECIALLY the east side),you had better bring BIG toys. The RR above is one of those;here's a few more:

There were a couple of the "other" brands present that were actually camera worthy:

Yes;that is a genuine 427 Fairlane(the white one). Stunning car. There was also this really nice '56 Chevy, only here cuz I like them and I was born in '56.

This one is a Kellison;a popular "kit" car from the 1960's. Yes,it had a Hemi in it. E-ticket ride, indeed!

Very cool photos Al-K, thanks for sharing them... I'd bet that little Kit car would be an E-Ticket ride for sure...

That 68 Hemi RR, is one bad a$$ looken' hombre

I would have thought there would be more people inside considering this is possibly the last day the museum is going to be open to the public.

Actually, there were a lot of folks in there;just doesn't show that in the pics. Yeah,it is sad that it may be closed to the public-again-and I'm not sure if it will re-open other than for special tours.

Budnicks;that RR ran legit,non-bottled 10.40's @135+ back in '85 with a 496 incher. I thought I heard it's now a 540(maybe bigger) and still no bottle. Also thought I heard it's a Niner now;maybe low 9's. Damn.
