Classic car insurance?

I will be checking them as soon as I can get down to one car (66 Charger) and a motorcycle. The problem is I no longer have a garage and I know Haggerty used to require it. Does anyone know of other companies that don't require a garage to be insured? I will be driving it about 12,000 miles per year.
call adam he is great to deal with and i'm sure he can answer those questions . You may have to go with main stream standard insurance with no garage and using it that many miles . He will quote you now and then you can change to them once your policy is up . Thats what i'm in the process of doing will change the bird to them next month and the rat rod in june .

Waiting on one more local agent that is into old cars for his quote,he deals with American,we'll see if he is less or more than quote I received from American online,a lot of variables, but it seems location is the biggest. So far for me I'm liking Leland West.

Hagerty, 25k value $232 a year(my car needs to be restored still looks 44 years old) 3k+ miles which really don't matter they never ask or check, even told them I swapped motors to the 440 and they said no worries get a few extras but not anything to brag about. State farm was double that. Guess it all depends on real time events, if they take care of you or not? out of all of them I have heard Hagerty acts quickly and leans towards protecting you and giving you your agreed upon value very quickly. Hard to guess who is going to be the best value, you will only know if when something catastrophic happens then you will see first hand if that cheaper company was worth it or not. Insurance is legal robbery anyway lol

I'm paying $300 for my 70 super bee at 40k worth of coverage from American Collectors Ins. They have been great, had a claim within the first month of ownership and I wish my regular Ins co., Progressive, was as good as Am. Collectors! Oh ya they also let youi drive the car for that price.

I always viewed it as legal gambling...You're gambling you will (need) use it, while they're gambling you won't. Once a claim is actually filed the robbery (them trying to get out of honoring the agreement) starts! Somebody, stop me when I start to lie...

American modern denied my insurance cause I have the car all tore apart with the pieces at different locations. Nice comany. I guess the $220.00 was not that great after all.

Another vote for JC Taylor.

I have 3 cars: '69 Shelby, '65 Coronet, and a '65 Mustang for 100K insured value. Total cost is 1K/year and I tell them I put 5000 miles a year on them. And I live in Vegas, an expensive insurance area.

Has anybody used/heard of Chrome Insurance? They were at the Autorama this weekend and I got a quote from them. I can't remember the exact number but is was around $250/year for $35K agreed value and 100/500 I believe. They also said that until I finish the car which is just about done I can do just comprehensive for $5/month. Said as long as I take and send pics of all the finished parts that aren't on the car they will cover those as well.
