Once I get the Crustang put back together.. waiting on a clutch and inner tie rods I will fire it up and make a new video of them doing the same thing. I assume it needs lifters..
Maybe, maybe not - but I got to think others have experienced similar with theirs somewhere?Once I get the Crustang put back together.. waiting on a clutch and inner tie rods I will fire it up and make a new video of them doing the same thing. I assume it needs lifters..
I had planned on replacing the lifters back then, but ended up selling the truck before I got the chance to do it. I was thinking that maybe it could have been tight valve guides that were making it difficult to return. Thinking some of the tick was from the springs doing their job. It sounded like lifters but with the valve cover off it sounded like springs in a bind.Maybe, maybe not - but I got to think others have experienced similar with theirs somewhere?
It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't some manner of documentation on it; that's just bizarre, man.
Either way, I'd have been seeking the aid of an exorcist.I had planned on replacing the lifters back then, but ended up selling the truck before I got the chance to do it. I would think if the guides were tight enough to make that kind of a sound, you would be seeing other issues too....and probably bad ones.I had planned on replacing the lifters back then, but ended up selling the truck before I got the chance to do it. Possibly but there are only a few things I can think of that would cause the issue. That was a guess.I would think if the guides were tight enough to make that kind of a sound, you would be seeing other issues too....and probably bad ones.
