1970 Dodge Superbee

This car was the one I posted way back belonging to Martin Cox and was in MA.

His lowest stated offer was 55K, I got the feeling he would go 50K. I may be off on this next comment, but I believe after this reseller bought it he took it to auction and it failed to get the opening bid of 40K at Mecum so I asked what this reseller's get it out of my garage price is and he reaffirmed the 65K. If I remember correctly it has an impressive fender tag with loads of options. He should post it.

I found another description from seller: "1970 Dodge Super Bee All numbers matching, ram charger hood, 383 4 speed, 742 rear, no power steering or power brakes No AC. Color is EV2 Red with Black interior"

So he's banking on the numbers matching issue elevating the price. Also it's HEMI orange not red.

There is a yellow V code car on here,no engine or trans though. Some assembly required.

Period equalizer is a nice touch.
I had a similar one in my 70.

Nowadays you can run a wire to the trunk for some sort of amplifier/eq and just plug in an MP3 player and hide it in the console. Leaving the dash original.

I always post these threads now so you guys can trash a car and save me from making stupid decisions. Fire away.

Owner has the original numbers matching motor. I asked what he would do to the car with 10K to throw at it as he seems to have been doing upgrades when necessary. He said he'd rebuild the original motor and otherwise the car is solid except for it has a slight run on after turning off the key (timing probably) and a small oil leak.
