Nice pics, thanks. My father ran a 120HP Chrysler outboard on a 16 foot fibregalss boat back in the '80's. With 4 divers on board it was still capable of 35mph.
Here are some pics of a boat my buddy imported just a year ago, Real vintage Chrysler stuff;

Very rare 18 ft Mahogany antique ski boat, built in Orlando Florida, was originally ordered to pull multiple skiers at exhibition shows. The 230 hp Chrysler 318 4 – barrel V8 has plenty of low end torque for the job with a foot pedal throttle for quick response to skiers. This boat was delivered new to Lake Tahoe where it was cared for by Sierra Boats Works for many years. It was then moved to Donner Lake, California. The 2nd owners, Gary and Peggy Brandt brought her to Lake Arrowhead and undertook a complete extensive restoration that took over a year , including details that are better than new like the varnished ribs and inside of the hull ( originally bare ) The West System bottom finished in Sterling Racing paint, new floorboards with access hatches, new top decks finished in 12 coats of varnish. The original Chrysler V8 and velvet drive transmission were pulled out and fully rebuilt and painted the correct original colour. It has all the original upholstery, guages and steering wheel. Additions include a bimini top and removable teak swim platform. She sounds awesome with twin exhausts straight out the back and will do 50 mph. This boat has only ever been used in fresh water. Believed to be the only genuine example in New Zealand.

Kiwi, that's an awesome boat. The guy that painted my 69 RR restores wood boats and also uses the west system.
