Cordoba sells for almost 40K at Mecum

First drove my 76 in 1981 while on holiday in the U.S. Original owner gave it to me in 2009 and shipped to Australia, great ol cruiser, specially on our roads over here. If I feel a need for speed I use the 1970 VF Valiant 770 ( Mainly Dodge Dart )

I taped all of it and FF watched the whole thing. Honestly, I'm shocked at some of the high prices. When it was on a week ago, it seemed that some of the car prices were a bit weak from where they have been. However, just when I thought the collector car market was cooling off, I was proven wrong this weekend. It still goes to show that there are plenty of high rollers out there.

Here's the results on all the Mopars .....

I thought we'd talked about this one a couple years ago when it sold for $24,000 on BAT but can't find it now.
I remember a thread on it where everyone was amazed what a Cordoba sold for, maybe it was in a different site.
Well it sold for over 50% more than that at Mecum Saturday.
1979 Chrysler Cordoba at Kissimmee 2024 as K214 - Mecum Auctions

No Reserve: 8k-Mile 1979 Chrysler Cordoba
A low mile Mirada sold for just shy of $30K shortly after the Cordoba Saturday
Strange days in the motorcycle auction world as well. Las Vegas Mecum Jan 30 2025 - Lot #T15, a motorcycle equivalent of the Cordoba, the mighty Yamaha Radian, 1986 vintage, went for (hold on to your wallets, kids) $33,000!!! I don't care what shape it is in or whose collection it came from, I wouldn't pay $33K for a Radian even if there were $32,000 taped up under the seat.
