I am wanting to buy this cause the price is right for me. He says it came of a 73 charger 318 2barrel with a 904,but mine now has a 4 barrel. Will this still work?,,,I know Lokar is best way. To go,but unless y'all have a set up for sale I can afford can't get one cause new with. Carburetor bracket lokar FB_IMG_1423089845038.jpgFB_IMG_1423089871442.jpgFB_IMG_1423089891846.jpgis like $120.

The throttle bracket, and the long rod are both different for a 4bbl. I see people say they use them all the time if you don't mind cutting, bending, welding and extending it can be done i guess but i would get the correct parts IMO

Sounds like I'll be getting a lokar as soon as I sale this b body Ralley gauge set up

No 318 4 BBL until the 80's I believe, so yes, easier to find 340 or 360 stuff.

I just modified several brackets to get what I needed to do the same sort of thing. I have a 360 4 barrel in a 73 Dart and all my parts are from 2 barrel engines. Cutting, welding and grinding.... now it works. It took a few hours but didn't cost much.

I've found two 360 four barrel cars at the U-pull in the past year.
One was a 79 5th Ave (New Yorker body), and the other a Cordoba.

I just took a pic of a performer intake fitted with the 360 bracket and my 73 318-2 bracket laying on top of it.

I also have a pic of a simple modification to a factory 2 barrel bracket, that was on a parts car I had a couple years ago.
Looks like a piece of 3/16 aluminum bar stock, cut to size and drilled, used as a throttle cable extension.

Note the 360 bracket also has a cruise control cable mount, and the kickdown stop on the 2 barrel bracket.

Something else to consider is that most SB throttle brackets were designed for use with a spreadbore TQ.
That puts the cable an inch plus outboard of the location for an AFB/AVS.
(as seen in the first pic)

Might help...

I actually pulled my factory crap off and got a bouchillion kickdown. Sets up beautifully. Little more than lokar, but I got a deal

A and A transmission (Rick Allison) has a huge inventory of stock transmission kick-down parts if you are trying to keep the stock look.
