Any paid to have a set of 8 3/4 gears set-up lately? I've got a pretty much brand new 489 case w/ 4.10 + new sure grip unit, and a set of 3.55's that are dog leg.. I'd love to use the 3.55's, but I wants mah sure grip! Just curious as to about how much I should expect to shell out. I'd just buy an installation kit and do it myself, but that rear end thingy is filled with voodoo and black magic :thinker:

not sure in IN.

Here in the NorCal area we have very expensive Labor rates ........... {in IN. I'm not sure}, I would say usually about $150 including the labor {no more than 2-hrs} & parts needed, shims, crush sleeve, gasket, front pinion seal, etc., That is, if you take it to them, already out of the car & already have the gears & sure grip & they are compatible parts/carrier... if it's still in the car, than more money, at least doubled...
