Congrats! That looks like a fun project car.

thanks
yes had my eye on this for 30 plus years.not sure what the plans are but back to close as stock as possible. aluminum front end maybe out of my $$ motor I can make it close to it.tranny need to find one of those and the correct rear end,but at least its the real deal from the factory.
still have rear seat foot pedals door panels head liner.one coat of red paint the factory white is still under that and have 2 of the 4 dog dish wheels complete .im third owner so information on it is still some what receivable from the second.yes its 1964 440 I keep calling it a polar for some reason its stuck in my head .be nice to track down the owner if he is still with us,it was I guess bought in the linclon or the Omaha dealer ship guess there was a drag strip near by so id go with Omaha but its been since 1964 ....il be having a load of polara parts coming up for sale so if our looking leave me a message

Looks like a great car. Good luck with whatever direction you go with it. I think it'll look good in white again.

yes its going back to correct factory specs minus the light stuff

Do you have a picture of the vin tag from the front of the drivers door jamb? The book will show the options from that.

funny car, my son and I would be interested in 64 stuff, way nice car and a great year.

09 on Fender tag under QR Max Wedge or Hemi you sure it is not Hemi with the build date?

well I just had a guy id the car from front to back and it is a hemi car 1 of 25 built.
all my information I have wrote is wrong and all my information was given to me by the son of the second owner .I feel like a total fool but I was going off his information . its correct from radiator support to package tray. Fender tag drivers door and like the owner told me the broadcast sheet was missing hell it was in the back seat just like the day it was made. I feel like a total fool but went off what I was total.

Wow that is a very rare car and needs special care. I almost fell off my chair when I saw that fender tag. Try to find any other parts he has. The tail panel must have been changed at some time with the three lights. There were actually 35 440 hardtop hemis built not sure about how many were Aluminium front cars and I know they built all steel ones.

yes did get a few extra parts with the car haven't had time to go thru them alot will be coming up for sale along with possible the car

Wow! What a score! That is a steel nose Hemi hardtop. Very few are known to still exist, about 3 or 4 of the 35. If it had an aluminum front originally there would a 9 under the Y, but none of the 35 were built with the aluminum front.

Hey Funnycar, nice find! Don't get rid of any parts until you are absolutely sure you have every part you need for that car first. By the way, I know where a complete 1964 race hemi engine is sitting with about an hours running time on it. I would love to talk to you more about your new car. I am doing research on these cars. You can reach me through my contact page at www.racehemi.maxwedge.com . I will hope to hear from you.

Awesome find Funnycar and such a rare beast. Can't wait to see & hear more.:headbang: yes please contact Greg Lane above^
