Ron our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Your daughter and family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know from experience that the big “C” diagnosis is very stressful and consuming. But with the advances of modern medicine cancer can be conquered. When does all the chit many of us complain about suddenly become unimportant? I’d say when one of your kids is diagnosed with cancer. For so many years I could count our blessings and I was usually guilty of not counting them enough. When I would remember to do so, it always became obvious we had been very fortunate, until last week. My guess is a lot of us have much to be thankful for, despite all the crap we don't like swirling about.
Never thought this would happen; but know it has for many people and a few I know so we're in good company. My beautiful young daughter, who just ran a 26 mile marathon two weeks ago, will be enduring chemo, removal of her breast, maybe both, loss of her glowing hair, and Lord knows what more. Can’t think of a more painful ordeal for anyone when it is their kid. So wish I could trade places with her.
Where my head is at…I’d say don't forget to count your blessings every chance you get and hope that your blessings will continue.
Thanks so much for asking. She had to have her right breast removed, but thankfully no spread was found in lymph nodes. Following week was reconstructive surgery that went well as it has been a couple weeks post. She started working half days last week; big plus is her job is remote. The only thing we’ve got our fingers crossed on now is whether she will need chemo…she’s expecting to hear this news sometime next week. Wife has been staying with her and she also works remotely so another lucky thing. She’s retiring in January.are there any updates Ron,praying for you and your family.

Ron... this is tough time of year... stay strong best as possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter and family... I've experienced similar. Thanks and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year as well!
Got some nice news last night; my daughter won't need to go through chemo. She's to start hormone treatments requiring a monthly injection for some 5 to 7 years and a daily pill. Hope this will become a distant memory for her 60 years from now.are there any updates Ron,praying for you and your family.
