Guys and Girls, hoping someone or a couple someones can reach out and offer some relaible advice. Really close to having my 65 Coronet done after 2 years and waaayyy more money than I thought but have some naggging issues.
-Running a 22 inch radiatior, 524972 I think is the number, upper neck is passenger side, lower is drivers side. Anyone know part numbers and source of where to get the hoses ? Water pump outlet on drivers side. They are all 1.5 inch. So far, have bought 7 different hoses, none are correct !

- Finally got my 500 inch stroker back ! Set it in and now my fan / clutch doesn't fit ! Builder used alum. water pump and took the little clearance I had. My question, anyone know if I can run a good quality electric fan with the 22 inch radiator (Cleaned and tested) and not opverheat. It's not radical, 540 HP, street driver. If so, what fan are you using that fits well.......or do I suck it up, spend more $$$$ and buy alum. radiator.

Last question today, seems kinda' dumb. I was planning to use the dual speaker bracket with 3.5 inch speakers in front. When I checked, I found it's a square front speaker opening....maybe 8 inches. Anyone have good luck using certain speakers for this application ? Thanks for any replies......

1. I suggest you take a metal coat hangar or baling wire, make a template, go to the parts house and match up your bends and end sizes, and if it's a little long, just cut to fit and dont get that convolted style, they tend to slow water movement.

2. Look on ebay for Lincoln Mark 8 fan, they are a 2 speed fan and move unholy amounts of air, also look for the wiring up it, you will be amazed. If not gonna go that route, then get the biggest fan you can to fit the dimension of you radiator and wire it up.

3. Look in the for sale section (interior) and a member sells a kit to mount modern speakers in that location for dirt cheap.

Hope this helps ya out some.

I found the same issue regarding a fan with a clutch. I simply use a stock non-clutch type fan with a shroud on my stroker powered '65 Coronet. No overheating issues whatsoever, using a stock 1965 22" radiator.
The space between the waterpump pulley and the radiator doesn't lend itself to an electric fan of much size either.
Can't help you with the speaker question. Mine is radio delete.

Sounds like a big block setup-anyway I bit the bullet and got the hemi hose for my 440.Fits right on.$65 for the bottom hose from Mancini racing.Got the top hose from Roger Gibson although Mancini must have that one too.

Wow my eng is set up the same way with the upper rad hose on the pass side and the waterpump lower hose on the drivers side. I have a friend who works at Pep Boys and we just started going thru the hoses on his shelf until we matched up both hoses. For the life of me I cant remember what the hoses were from. I will ask him tomorrow and see if he remembers. Ron

Just have to make sure you have the steel coils in the lower hose or it will collapse:icon_bounce:Don't ask ME how I know:blob1:
