Crager Wheels and tires, 71 Charger SE – keep or replace?

With my SE Charger ('71) I got some roller wheels and tires. I don't know a lot about sizing for wheels and tires (rely on a friend, or use an automated tool), so this is educational too! The wheels are old style Cragers, so I'm deciding if they are worth restoring and using on my '71 Charger.

The front rollers are 245/60 R14
The rear ones are P275/60 R16

I'm going to use the original and rebuilt drums on the rear, and 11.75 rotor disc brakes in the front. Will these sizes fit with these?

Suggestions on replacement sizes would be good - wider and taller in the rear, better for turning and lower in the front.

THX!

Here’s another question. Should the holes be elongated on these Cragers?

i would buy new "direct fit" cragars instead of the "uni-lug" style shown.
if you look close the inner [closest to the wheel hub] holes of the wheels, the holes are starting to "wallow out" for whatever reason.
and as an added bonus [in my opinion], the direct fit wheels use the modern factory style "bulge seat" nuts, which seem to work very well with factory style aluminum wheels.
"shank style" lug nut wheels may also be available in the SS wheels if you prefer those instead, although those are preferred for very high horsepower applications using slicks. :drinks:

I don't really care for the conical seat "bulge" nuts for most guys, because most of the time they require longer studs all around. I have some and I use them, cause I already have 3" studs on everything that's fast, but I still prefer mag style lugs.
I absolutely agree, on the direct fit Cragars.
