Craigslist...flakes?

I've had nothing but good luck in ebay, craigslist, etc. the only thing i ever had happen was a cam crack in half during transit. I guess it coulda been a scam from the buyer, but i'd rather think it was shipping.

Really, in half?

Billet cams for me from now on.

And here I was worried about the lobes and journals.

Seems like every time I post something on CL for sale I get the people that can't even type in correct English to respond. You can tell they are obviously foreigners trying some scam....

I have no problem selling on Craigs list. What I do is hide my email and post a phone number, but spell out some of the numbers. Hiding the email stops the spammers/scammers and spelling some of the numbers stops the texting scammers. Also only having your phone numbers forces people to actually call getting rid of the tire kickers behind their computers.

So far no trouble.

Ugh.. last time I sold anything on CL was a 1/2 ton '97 Ram w/ a 318.. it was on it's last leg, it got t-boned, the rear end was shot, trans was done, but the motor was good (it was pretty much only good for scrap and the 318). I listed it on CL for $500 and I can't count how many "Will you take $200" texts I got on it.

That and "how do you know the rear end is shot?" (there was a pic on CL of metal pieces in a bucket that came out of it) or "how much would it cost to fix the truck?" (hell I don't know... but the price of scrap metal was high enough at the time that between the weight, the aluminum wheels, and the catalytic converter that was still under the truck someone could buy it and make money w/o haggling)

But yeah, nothing pisses me off more than someone trying to haggle prices without setting the first set of eyes on the vehicle

Doesn't everyone have a "shipping agent" cruising around the USA to pick up the "Item", and the excess money from the too big check they want to send you?
