Cranking compression higher after cam swap

So did someone else install and degree the cam or did you just install it straight up and not know the specs ?
If not degreed, did you check for valve clearance ?

I got it from the widow of a friend and it only came with a paper with the lift and duration on it. 525 @ 240 110 LSA. I just installed it straight up and it runs very good. V-P clearance on exhaust is .121
