Crappy day got worse

Your dog is obviously fine, it's the neighbor who has a problem.
I have one next door who is a biker wannabe type in his 60's and truly the neighborhood old lady if you know what I mean, calls cops on everybody for anything including parking in front of his house.
Called the cops on me and other neighbor at least a dozen times because we let our dogs play together off leash all the time in our own yards, cops come and say hi sometimes play with the dogs and chat, never told us they can't play on our own property.

People need to mind there own business period.

Do you ever wonder if these type of people are so damn unhappy with themselves and because usually of their own doing are not where they they think they should be in life get up in the morning and the first thing they think of is who's day they can ruin so they are not alone in their own misery. That's a beautiful dog and looks very happy.

You can tell the dog loves its master as it seems to be trying to get to you in every picture, not running away from you. Looks very happy. I think people see the chain and the snow and assume the dog isn't happy. The chain keeps it safe from running in the street, and the snow... well... dogs aren't as susceptible to cold as us humans and people tend to forget that. I try to put my dog inside at night when it gets a little "cold" out here (it's Southern California, so we're talking high 30s in the worst-case scenario), and it breaks out of the gate that contains her and paws at the door to go out. The only thing that bugs me is she barks at every person that goes by the fence, and we have people that jog at 10 o'clock at night out here. I guess it's a good thing, but I think people are going to think she barks for no reason. No notice so far, though...

Thank you all for the compliments on the dog, she has so much personality it's amazing. I'm sure this will all work out in the end because one look will tell anyone she's not abused/neglected. It was just unbelievable that someone would think that.

I am a dog lover and my two live with me inside most of the time.. They go out to use the bathroom and to help me in the shop. Your friend there looks very happy with you out there taking pictures but i bet she is laying down or very calm when you are away and people see it as the dog is not happy.

With that said I can see where people may over reach their compasion for animals and say something.. I for one would have just knocked on your door and ask how the pup was doing instead of calling the police like a coward.

I will say that you do need to get the shots and tags up to date per your comment.. It will look allot better when you chat with the Police about this. Good luck with this..

SublimeGTX, I hope all works out for ya... some people just don't get it, need to mind their own damn business... she looks pretty damn happy/healthy to me... Gorgeous animal too... I have to put my dog Lord Budnicks/Buddy on a long tether in the front yard when I'm out in the garage or working out front, he's far too social when he's out there or he wants greats every person that walks by, especially the little kids that get off the school bus, right on the corner across the street, they all love him too, there are allot of people & children walking with their dogs, it's just a way to keep him honest & out of the street, away from cars going by, or buggen' other people &/or dogs, it's by far not any form of abuse... I assume your dog is being tethered for similar reasons while he's outside... Now my spoiled rotten' old dog, he wants in the house, whenever I'm in the house & wants out, when ever I'm outside & yes he sleeps on my bed too... good luck with the police dept. & animal control
