Typically the Karen's complaining about safety are the ones who actually can't afford to build a safe/legal car so of course they will defend this type of **** from a keyboard of course...

It's 2020 now safety and technology has evolved. I rode in the back of my father's pick-up truck down highways just sitting in the bed of his truck to go get ice cream... Good times but many years later I knew better to do it with my two boys.. A bar in 12.50 cars? or a cage?I think it can go both ways. I know guys that insist a 12.50 car has a cage. An 8.50 cert does not realy require a lot of extra bars aside from the halo. It's all relative to your level of comfort.
My 8.50 cert cars are probably mid pack on bars. One has forward bars and one does not etc.
Lastly...I am never riding in a 55 chevy again.
Look at old ss/a and ss/b pics and note the LO and BO cars did not have a bar at all. Were Dick Landy and Ronnie Sox idiots also? Just something to consider.

a HOOD landing? Is that a sly shot at the guy with the 55 that ended up with his legs on the hood, after he rolled it?I will say….any landing you can walk away from, is a hood landing.
Exactly. That was all I was trying to say...Some people like to take things sideways though..I think it's simple to say that anytime you are involuntarily separated from your race car seat, YOU did something wrong.
I don't know how they got away from skirting the rules for so long. Why would other racers need to comply with NHRA track rules just because they didn't have "hub caps" on stock wheels/tires running nines at over 140MPH. I will say that if they wadded up one of those cars at that speed I would bet they wish they built a safe car instead of a "stock" looking one from the 1960's... I guess it could end when one of the tech's let's an illegal car down the track causing someone else severe injury or death and the track loses their insurance policy which is the NUMBER expense at most tracks...Yes - a bar. My error
So....is the Factory Appearing Stock Class full of idiots for trying to to race on reproduction bias plys? For a looong time that class defied tech rules until....people complained.
I wonder have many accidents have occurred in that class? Being to far away I do not have any direct knowledge of the class.
What about the guy with the 800hp Hemi in his street car that wamts to use the back seat? If he rips off a few passes at the car show is he an idiot?
Where will this end lol
