Cruise/Shake down +1 day run to Poopy's, IL

Well, recently, I finally got my pile back together after wrenching on her this summer, and decided to hit the road. The first "shake down" run was about a 100 mile roundtrip to a cruise night, and then the next day was out to Poopy's pub eatery in IL. For those not in the know, Poopy's (yes, that's the real name), is a bar, restaurant, and tattoo parlor all in one, that mainly caters to the biker crowd in western IL near the border with Iowa on the MS river.

Some local gear heads thought I was nuts after rebuilding everything in the dash (rebuilt the instruments , steering coulmn, heater box, all new dash harness, etc) and taking her on such a long haul right away, but you got to have faith in your skills and the machine or why bother, right?

Cool car. Nothing beats hitting the highway in a classic car! especially a convertible. Gotta love eating at a place called Poopy's, hahaha. Do they serve alot of mexican food? ;)

Thanks, but no, they serve traditional American bar food...burgers, and whatnot. The big, regular, and little poop's refer to burger sizes.

On the way back home, we stopped at a BK to use the pisser...WTF, did you guys see that web vid a while back that showed the fat gal on a scooter running through the drive through? We saw this in the parking lot! LOL. We left before seeing the owner leave.

This was like a week later...when's the last time you seen gas pumps like these?? I stopped in this place, while out cruising, just to take the pic. It's an old-time full service gas station where you drive over the hose (on the ground behind the car) that sets off the bell, and they come out to pump the gas!
