Curious...66 or 67?

66, I've owned 66's and 67's over the years, and I prefer the 66's seats.... I hate the buddy seat of the 67's, and the column shifter looks like it's completely lost, and really, really prefer the full front to back console... if it were my choice, '66, with a different master cylinder (first thing's first... ditch that 1 pot death trap!) and go with whatever power plant you choose

I prefer '66s because the steering whell, console and seats pattern. And the fact that all came with console shifters this year. But '67 has the 440, fender signals and magnum wheels optionals!

All 66's had the console, but some had the manual 3-speed shifter lever on the column. Late 66's got magnum road wheels also

I like the 67 because of the fender mounted turn signal indicator. Mine also has seat medallions which I don't thInk the 66s had, maybe they did. I do like the full console look of the 66s that's why I put one in my 67!

'66 for me. Like the seat pattern, full length console, shifter on the floor, lack of turn signals on the fenders. Oh and more electroluminescent goodness.

I'm partial to 67's myself for a number of reasons, but I do like the full length center console found in the 66. Of course, one could always put a 66 console in a 67 if they really wanted too.

I know a guy that has the console...

Elvis drove a 67.
I think that settles that.

had both , both years are very cool cars . gave a stock 383 auto pspb air car to a friend that helped me store my hoard once . he sold it on ebay . and the 67? was a roller with full length console bucket seats front and rear . i bagged all the seats , console and floor mounting bracket from it for a 67 300 rag transformation . i think its going to look great with the charger interior . going to modify the dash into the charge look as well . still brain storming the grille , needs the charger look too . pics are the 66 i give n he sold it on ebay . if anyone bought that car , i have the original 383 in my barn .

Yes, in fact I have a 66 full length console. At one point I was going to put it in my 67 but decided not to since the car is pretty much matching numbers or as much as a 67 can be.
If someone is interested, LMK. I'd be happy to part with it. Includes the rear top portion, but no rear armrest.

Nothing about the 66-67s are not nice in my opinion Kern.

68s are nice for sure, I just never was much of a sheep. I think the lines are awesome on the first gens myself,

Here is my steering wheel in my 67

Oooo... so Bobby and Reed are both teasing me now. Could there be a 66 console in my 67's future? :)

Will do Bob :D

I tried to PM you the other day as well, but the forum stated that your inbox was full.
I was busy yesterday, but I'll shoot you an email this evening after work.
