A bit distracted with the young lady methinks. Guzzle some Geritol and chill, Hot Rod. :)
Oh....and my "boomstick" is always ready to rock:

Well, tonight is what is referred to as Amature Night as that seems to be what those choosing to go off the deep end routinely display with their antics. Gave up any and all celebrations many a year ago as I prefer to just have a few cocktails, catch a movie on TV, and hit the sack before the stroke of midnight. Been doing that routine for now on 30 years. Y'all be safe out there...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Yep, driving around party hopping is for the dummies. Sometimes we walk across the street for a couple drinks but I rarely stay up past midnight.

I told people (and believed it) that I was 22 for four months...

...after I had turned 23.

Yeah, those early 20's were kinda hazy.

Don't know why I didn't think of it but have 2 new to me 12g shot guns....one is a pump and the other is a sawed off single shot but is still legal. Man, last night would have been perfect. Used to be the noise maker in the neighborhood but no so much anymore.

My wife and I both will lose track of the days from time to time but sounds like you were more than 'hazy' back then lol

Wife and I aren’t into the whole getting wasted on New Years thing, seems like a terrible time, actually. We have a group of close friends that gather every New Year’s Eve. It’s a family thing, no alcohol at all. There can be anywhere from twenty to thirty people. It’s a great time! We eat, play games, socialize and some years blow stuff up. Any and all are welcome and you come and go as you please. I’m not above having a few brewskies but the concept of getting drunk just because it’s a new year doesn’t appeal in any way. Been like that for over thirty years now.

Except for the constant loud explosions in my area during the night waking me up at every bang, I stuck to my routine and still awoke feeling like I was hung over. I only had 3 cocktails, an easy dinner, and watched the re-run of Liberty Valance on Grit TV. That was it and then turned off the lights which turned into those constant booms...Other than that. it was an uneventful ringing in of the New Year...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Didn't have a single drink of any alcohol last night but we are having a few tonight out by the fire pit. Partying on New Years never appealed to me even when I was young.

I was surprised that the loud booms didn't wake us up even though we stayed up watching movies until about 12:30 or so. The only reason I stay up is to make sure no one lands a bottle rocket etc on the roof.

I can't believe.....

The locals stopped blowin stuff up right after midnight.

...and zero late "reports".
