I see that others have asked for help decoding their fender tags so I'd like to throw my hat in the ring too. I've read some of the other information on this site but I'm still searching. Here's the fender tag from my 1968 Road Runner. Any help is appreciated.

july 8....... 708

either very early or very late....... I'm thinking very late

there is a very good 68 decoder thread hear somewhere...... looks like a lynch rd tag

Go to the "68-70 Mopars" forum.
In the "sticky list" on top is the decode PDF file.

Thank you, and I agree with the late production date because it has the HT body.
...also the production number is very high, and production didn't typically begin the model year until/or around the oneth of August.

It's a Lynch Road built car so RM23H8A33****

The SCHEDUED Date is Jul 8th. The car could have been built well before or sometime after that date. There is no way to know from the tag when the car was actually built.

It looks like Lynch Road scheduled cars until at least 717 of 68.

Originally FF1 Green color. Looks like a black stripe. Black bench seat interior. Four speed. 3.23 with Sure Grip rear end. AM radio. Tach.
