Congrats on deer meat sorry about the car

I never got a buck that went 200 lbs. plus, here in Pa. lucky if they go 150

Ouch! Tell her I said good job, good aim!

My former wife did the same one season. Her brother and I hunted the entire season, bow, black powder and rifle. We came up empty. On the last day she hit a deer a half mile from the house on the way back from the store, after sundown. Didn't hurt the Ford Granada that she was driving. We had to listen to that for awhile but we had meat!

I don't hunt anymore, I walked out my front door a couple years ago, on opening day, 8 point eating pears in my front yard less than 20 feet away, didn't even look up. We had an orphan fawn go into my friends horse barn, when we were kids. We fed it with a bottle, it was like a dog it hung out with us and even waited at the bus stop for us when we got home from school. Well until deer season that year.

I gave it up a few years ago. There was so much poaching in my area, the deer didn't have a chance. Also it's just me anymore, so no need for extra meat to get a whole family through the year.
I do miss sitting out in the woods all day though!

Daughtr and son inlaw use to have their dear prosesed at their local locker untill the daughter worked there threw a deer season and found out the chance of getting back what was taken it is very slim. They now process at home.

Nice buck. My personal best, totaled my truck.

In Pa. we are not allowed to take road kills. Big fine and you would have to have a Pa. hunting license for the butcher to accept it.

What a bunch of BS. Around here technically you need a tag, but if your not filing an insurance claim (vehicle only covered with liability) and no injuries, why waste your time to notify johnny law over a dead Bambi. They're already understaffed (around here). Just take what ya want (rack and backstraps) and leave the rest for the coyotes and bald eagles

In the 80's deer were alot more scarce around here you could get a regular deer license to take one buck then doe permits were issued, now I think you can take 5 legally and if your a farmer you can take more for the crop nuisance there are so many deer around here the hunting season barEly keeps them in check they released alot of turkeys here to and sand hill cranes but the coyote population has boomed too no more ring neck pheasants like there was kinda miss them, used to be huge flocks seeing 20 to 40 wasn't unusual back them I have seen one in 2 or 3 years.
