deer season

In Pa. we are not allowed to take road kills. Big fine and you would have to have a Pa. hunting license for the butcher to accept it.
They have kill tags issued by law enforcement here. there are people that pic up the kills and takes them to food banks sometimes so there on the right track here

Opened that rice burner up like a sardine can! Good thing She wasnt in a 'smart' car.
That's for sure just a little bruised up she was lucky some times they go thru the windshield. That happened to a woman last year it didn't kill the deer, and woman was kicked to death by the injured animal

Damned vermin! Oughta be a bounty on the damned things.
I've got 2 so far. Hope I've hit my limit.

See a lot of road kill on the main Phoenix Lake rd. into my place too,
in the county, it's hands down the worst road-kill rd. like 2 a day...

Knock on wood, no kills with my truck "yet"...

Nice Buck thou, some celebratory venison stew,
or Chile' is in order...

We have a " deer hi-way", easement next to me they frequent,
that come right next my property daily...
Mostly smaller Blacktail & few big Muley's

Good luck with the car & insurance co., that's always fun...

Just a mile into Michigan, from Toledo, you can see deer after dark and early mornings crossing the roads. A friend who lives in West Virginia, won't spend a lot of money on a newer car, as they have stuck deer several times.

That's Lena wee county grew up there in a town called tipton about one hour from toledo. Just off m 50. I'm about 1 1/2 from toledo now.

That might be Ottawa lake it's on the south end of the county

Glad that your wife wasn't badly injured. Damn deer are getting to be a real problem here too. I wish there was more deer hunting around here to keep the population down. I'm constantly trying new ways to keep them out of my orchard.

I found a box of this at a gun show, right after my ex had hit the deer I mentioned. She didn't think it was too funny.

I quit hunting when I moved from Colorado to SoCal. Hell they shoot people out here. I don't want anything to do with being out there with a gun in this area. In Colorado it was different. There was a culture toward hunting. Used to hunt elk, deer, pheasant and make use of the meat. Just lost my taste for all that in this over populated zoo called California.

Glad your wife wasn't hurt and it looks like she really bagged a nice buck. If you're going to do it - do it big!

In Happy Valley, outside of Sacramento, we used 'deer whistles' from Kragen. They do work. Deer were a major hazard there.

They are all over my neighborhood. Too "urban" for hunting and no predators. Gotta drive slow at night with the high beams on. When they come in my backyard, I nail them in the torso with a 1/4" steel ball bearing out of a wrist-rocket sling shot. They jump a few feet in the air, then take off. They're so stupid tho, they come back the next day.

We have so many deer in MD a hunter can take up to 32(!) per season...10 does during bow, 10 does during muzzleloader, 10 does during shotgun & 2 bucks anytime (1 buck, then an additional buck with a bonus tack...but you Must shoot a doe between the two bucks). Oh, and if someone hits one with an automobile, the sheriff, state trooper, state police, etc. will tag it for whoever wants to take it. They are thick as fly's here.

Daughtr and son inlaw use to have their dear prosesed at their local locker untill the daughter worked there threw a deer season and found out the chance of getting back what was taken it is very slim. They now process at home.

I always had this in the back of my mind, never used one and will definitely never go to one now.
