Picked this NOS or new regound cam up from a semi-closed shop. It was in their back area as not a fast mover so I was able to purchase it. I know it's either a 426 Max Wedge or if we are lucky a 426 Hemi that was ordered and not picked up ? Hasn't been opened and I'm a little reluctant to do so just for grins - any old guys on here remember or purchased them back in the day or would they possibly still be operating ? No real date that I can see but most likely late 70's or maybe 80's. I got it from House of Parts here in Dallas but it was shipped to one of our old Hot Rod parts supplier.

According to wikipedia he died in 1971. I doubt it stayed around much longer after that if at all. Most of the literature is from the 60s.

Thanks....hard to believe it's been on the shelve that long....but I got a NOS Carter with the correct # for my Studebaker R1 Daytona at a East Dallas parts house auction about 2005.

Saw some pictures online and the cams had tags on them with specs.

Thanks.....might just open it up - don't really have a BB build in the future - so I hate to open it up. I do have to get a few SB Mopars built first !
