1)Looking to switch from 3.23's to 3.73's in my 68 super bee 383 4 spd. I got set up with a shop (drivetrain dynamics) in NJ, guy went to order a ring and pinion set and called me back....says the only sets he can find are either chinese or korean made and have a reputation for being crappy quality and loud...Said he just wanted to let me know so i dont pay him and realize they are noisy or bad quality when i drive the car....So I'm looking myself, I can only seem to find Yukon, Motive or Nitro brands, and it looks like none are made in USA...anyone have any suggestions? I'm glad the guy is being up front about it..

2) Also think my sure grip is shot, i had the car jacked up the other day and if i spin one wheel, the other just kind of twitches (1 inch or so) but doesnt spin around....

Wow thats all he can get, id run now . . . .

Precision is US made, US gear is also, motive can be here or India or Italy depending, which isn't china.

checked all those, doesn't look like anyone but Yukon, Motive or Nitro makes a 3.73 for the 742 casting...I didn't think that ratio was that uncommon, most go from 3.23 to 3.91's and up, nothing in the middle, Thanks for the responses though guys

Why not pick up a 489 case, you can rebuild the sure grip and have a better selection of gears?
