Hey everybody. I’m wondering what the differences are between a 68 and 70 Plymouth satellite. I’m thinking of doing a superbird clone (I know some of you may hate it) and wondering if I could start with a 68 rather than a 70.
Thanks in advance, Ben

Rear quarter panels, trunk lid, tail lights are way different between 1968 and 1970. Also, rear glass on Superbird is a special piece, for aerodynamics.

Darn... quarter panels will be a problem. I thought it was just the taillights and grill. I would be buying a superbird body kit from stinger fibreglass and that includes the rear window plug.

Would it be possible to just put 70 quarter panels on it?

..and don't forget the Coronet hood, front fenders (modified) and of course the nose cone.
After it's all said and done you'll have a nice fake Superbird worth pennies to the dollars you'll spend, but hey if ya gotta have one it's your thing do whatcha wanna do.

The result will be worth less than what you started with.

find a 70 Sat., RR, or Belvedere (latter may be the least expensive)
to begin with
far less hassles

like mentioned above they have Dodge parts on the front

good luck, have fun

nothing wrong with a tribute or clone
if done correctly, with the correct cars/parts
