I have a 64 polara that I am wanting to convert to disc brakes. Does anyone know what brakes will work. I have been told I can use a body or F body spindles with my a arms. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search on disk brakes. There are many posts on this subject.

Any kit that is for 62-70 b body or 70-74 e body will be a bolt on affair.

Great, thanx for that. I was hoping just to remove something used and transplant. Didnt want to spend all the dough in these hard times!!

You might be able to find late A body / B body stuff at pick N pull or a wrecking yard. The tall spindles work but getting aftermarket upper control arms is recommended to keep the ball joint from going into a bind during extreme travel conditions.

Thanx again, the links are very helpful. Looks like Im ready for the dirty part!!!

After doing my research,I purchased the SSBC basic kit.I like the fact the calipers are 4 piston, used my spindles and EVERYTHING I needed was in the box.Last coupla passes,my 3800 lb brick was 135 in the 1/4 without the white knuckles:munky2:

Pretty sure the previous owner of my 64 used brakes from a 70-73 Dart.
