distrubitor points or electric

i have two distributors for my dodge one is a points and the other is the advanced electric thing anyways i was wanting to know how to wire the new one points is easy but i dont think i can get the performance i need out of it does anyone know how to wire up the new one?

Do you want to wire the electronic or the points type? If its the electronic you should be able to down load instructions on line.

could the points system handle 6,000 rpms and up?

I'm sure it could if set correctly but you could also install an electronic conversion. Pertronix makes some very nice units that mount inside your original distributor with no special wires, coils or ballast resistor needed.

yes jegs will have it as well as summit. if you have all the parts for the electronic dist ie: ecu, and harness, that would be your best bet,IMHO.

sweet gonna have to look into that its a shame i couldnt afford a hei setup like on chevys
