Do You Miss Them When They're Gone?

Oh.. and the wife's a keeper !!! Dating since 1979, when we were 15 and 17.. married 37+ years now ! Don't let that smile fool you.. she'll leave you at the light!

All of our family misses my Dads old car. He only owned it for 1 year, but it left an indelible mark that has continued to fuel the love of Mopar we all have today. We would love to find it, not sure it made it out of the 70’s. Last seen in 1973, up on blocks behind Shelleys Chicken in Plymouth, Mi., with the motor pulled.

As for any of my cars, I don’t miss them when I sell them, although when I traded my GTX I thought I would. I don’t!

Probably miss this one the most.
I have had some good ones after the A12, but this car was pretty special to me.
Marital status change sent this one "down range"

This is what I have now.

I will keep this until I find a nice 70 Cuda 340 4 Speed

The one I miss the most wasn’t a Mopar, but a ‘68 Mustang GT fastback, 390 auto. Red with a black interior, 82,000 miles. Paid $1200 for it, drove the piss out of it for a year then sold it for $1900. Thought I made out like a bandit!

Saw it restored a decade ago on a classic dealers web site for $82,000 (they had the VIN listed).

71 340 4spd Demon great car but needed a pickup

So, the other day the wife's layin' into me about how I don't appreciate her, how much she does for me, that I don't listen to her or pay attention to her and in the middle of her tirade I realized how lucky I am to have had some of the cars that I've had. As I was thinking about some of my past rides I couldn't help but remember some of the ones that I regret getting rid of, or at least wish that I still had.
I've always been a Mopar guy, but like most, I've had a few other makes in the stable at one time or another, which brings me to one of the cars that I miss, a 1970 RS Camaro. It was a plain Jane car but I liked it, 307ci, manual 3 speed on the floor, nothing special but it was fun to drive and looked good going down the road. I wouldn't give my eye teeth to get it back but if someone offered it to me at a good price I certainly would try to scrape up the money to buy it back. Another one that I'd buy back if possible was a '68 Impala SS fast back that I rebuilt. It was rough when I traded a beat up '55 ford pick up for it, but my wife wanted it, so I redid the car for her. The factory 327ci came out and a 396 went in, I rebuilt the trans, front end, suspension, new interior, well you get the idea. A buddy of mine did the body and paint at his shop, it was a really fun car and people loved it, I miss that one. I really miss the '66 hemi, 4speed Satellite that I had, but I sold it when I bought the house that I'm in. What was special about that one? It was a '66 hemi, 4 speed Satellite. I'm guessing everyone has one or more cars that they've let go for one reason or another, which ones do you wish you still had? Throw in some pictures if you have them.
I know this is old,, but I lmfao, after reading that first paragraph.

I miss most of my old cars there's some that just needed to go!
My 47 Buick is a biggie
My 70 charger 500
My 73 rallye I had almost done !
And lastly my 77 trans am 400 big block 4 speed t top black with gold !

No, i never had any sellers remorse, sellers regrets, when i let my two Mopar muscle cars go, years ago.
Ordered a 71 Cuda new, and kept it 45 years before i sold it off.
Since then it has changed owners another 4 times.
And i had the 71 Hemi GTX, 4 speed car, for 28 years when i sold that one. One of 11, with that combination.
And that one has changed hands, two times, and was looking for a third, at one of the big national auctions, without finding a new owner.
Just the time was right in letting them go, that's all.
The cash in my bank account is my old age, retirement, living on money, that is necessary than keeping old cars around.

Can't find any pic but I wish I never sold my first car, a 1969 Road Runner 383 w/air grabber hood. Was the first motor I tore into. Took most of a winter, but it ran great. Loved that car but I sold/traded it for a 1976 Dart Sport. Buckets with floor shift and lay down back seat/hatch. I grew to really like that car too. Sold it to my girlfriend when I went off to college. Last I knew of the Road Runner was that it was racing in the Detroit area. That was back in 1978.

Well, I'm glad it gave you a laugh, I was hoping it would lighten up at least a few peoples day. I really did write that in jest, my wife never gives me a hard time about anything, she's extremely laid back, I'm the jerk of the household. We've been together for almost 35 years, I'd kick her to the curb but then I wouldn't have anyone to blame when I screw something up. Besides, what fun would life be if I didn't have to stop in the middle of a project to look for my tools that she uses and doesn't F'n put back.

My 68 Road Runner, 383 auto, classic low dollar muscle.
Bought it off a used car lot in Akron in 81 for $225.00
I was still living with my parents (I was 18) and my dad hated it.
It was broke down once a nd I had the engine tore apart in the driveway.
While I was at work he called the local junkyard and had them come get it.
I have never forgiven him for that

I use to have dreams about my 68 Charger I had in high school. Bought it for $1200. Original H code 383, auto, 3.91 8 3/4, silver. Painted orange. It was rusty but it always had a hold of my subconscious after I sold it.

The dreams stopped after I bought my GTX. I really just needed an old Mopar.

Owned this v code 70 cuda for about 13 years before we sold it. Still know who has it, when we discover some wealth(Lol) maybe it will find its way back home, it got a different paint job now running 9. 70s... last I heard. It was a lot of fun, when she was sold I really wanted to see it go back 2 original but it had been cut on A LOT no surprise its still just a race car.

Would love my old Hemi Satellite back. Had to sell it and my Superbird to fund university.

While I love Superbirds, I really don't think I'd like another. It was too vandalism prone. The Satellite just plain ran great!
