Dobas with Ls1 swap?

I keep trying to tell my brother that. he is an EXCELLENT mechanic, but won't even try to fix computer issues.
I'd rather work on a car than a computer any day! lol

My goal for the car is just a weekend cruiser. I don't plan on going to the track, but i want it to have good power. Back when I was in high school, I thought this car was fast, but I have driven a lot of cars since then. I will deffinatly want more power then the stock engine puts out.
Stock when I got the car.

Is that a 318 or 360? Either way with your goal in mind you're already partway there with the intake and carb upgrade. Do a refresh on the engine (including a valve job) put in a mild cam and it should make you happy.

BTW - My Cordoba (360 powered with a few upgrades) ran a 13.852 at 97 mph (and still has more in there) the last time we went to the track.

I didn't start getting into cars until after high school. Then over the last three years I'm getting more and more into performance. I turn 30 here real soon, I can tell I'm a little late in life to start learning this stuff. That just means it might be a slower learning process. I am not incompetent when it comes to mechanical work, I just don't have the experience.

Oh mine is a 360.

Stick with it 30 may be late to become a baseball player or football player but workin on cars not at all,i'm 53 years old and still do all my own work [i pay for it the next day aches/pains] but i love it and will continue till i can't hold wrenches anymore.
