Does anyone know of a USB cig. lighter adapter that works on 67 Corrie?

HI,

I tried every cig lighter adapter I have, none seem to be long enough or something, for my 67 Coronet. I need one with a standard USB on it, so I can plug my Samsung Galaxy S3 into it.

Buy an off the shelf one with a pigtail and wire it in.

I don't know what a pigtail is, maybe its a US term..?

Pigtail is just a term for an electrical connection with the wires hanging out of the socket. Open ends on the wires so you can splice it in to an existing hot wire and ground. The female socket was what I was saying to wire into your existing under dash wires. You could mount it anywhere and your USB adapter should fit right in it.

Duracell has them for $5.

Has a standard USB connector, and an 2 foot USB to micro USB (in my case) cable.

The ones with proprietary cable end connectors (like for iphone) are a bit more.

I use this in my 67 coronet. if it doesnt work in yours then you probably have a problem with your lighter.

The lighter works..Its getting hot quickly like normal. I will check out that link mate..thanks.
