My six year old granddaughter saw one of my dog tags and wanted it and of course i gave it to her. A few days later when i visited i realized that tag had my SS# on it. My wife explained to her that she could not wear it as she had it on a chain around her neck. So now i have to get her a replacement but my question is does the military still put your SS# on dog tags
