Sorry your little Buddy is so sick, I hope he doesn't suffer, that really sucks...
He looks great/happy in the photos...
I'm sure he has a great life too...

albeit 13 y/o for a larger breed is a pretty good, long life,
it's still sad as hell when they go out that way...

My 1st lab King that was my own dog, not a family dog made it to 12.5,
my second lab Duke to almost 14
(cancer spread severely after I was convinced to neuter him at that age,
by the vet, he died shortly after the Vet saw it & still chose to neuter him,
I wouldn't have even put him thru it, if the vet was honest to/with me
about the cancer, when he 1st saw it... I'd have told him stitch him back up
or take out the cancer, just leave the testicles, he didn't have any issue there)
my 3rd lab Lord Budnicks to appr. 16.5
{my dad's 2 labs when I was a youngster made it to, 10 for one Flash,
he was poisoned, by a creepy neighbor/cat person & the other Barron to about 15 IIRC}
my current lab Elvis is appr. 2.5, he's a hoot, he reminds me of the rest constantly...

All dogs go to heaven...

sorry to hear about Buddy....it really sucks, and it is an unfortunate reality; yet most of sign up for it over and over. This week last year we lost our girl, Raven; 2 days before my birthday...... nothing but good memories

We just went through this about a year and a half ago with my Jack.
He made it to 19 years old.
Its never easy.
