DOGS

Here's a few from my "pack". The 2 "puppies" Korben and Leeloo, and my dear "old man dog" Tony and I have Laney too.
Here's the 3 brown hounds, no posing, this is how I found them:

Well,

After just under two weeks of total misery from my beautiful Tilly passing away at only 1.5 years old…I found a remedy to what ails me.

Meet Lilly !

She is an 8 month old Belgian Malinois…and an absolute stunner ! She is as affectionate as she is beautiful ! I was sceptical but she wrapped me around her paw very quickly

She isn’t Tilly, but I can’t get Tilly back until I cross over. Lilly is filling the deep ragged hole in my heart that came from Tilly’s untimely demise. I think she would approve.

Lilly is beautiful!
We (I) adopted an abandoned female Malinois puppy a while back. First time I met her at a friend's house, she was in my lap in seconds, kissing my face in a minute.
The problem was, she fooled me. I thought she was a laid back malinois, but with our shepherds she played like she was on crack. When she hurt my girlfriends favorite, she had to go. She was rehomed to my friend that found her, and as an only dog, she is marvelous. Unbelievably smart and trainable.
Congrats on finding Lilly, I'm sure you both will be happy.

This boy looking for a home has a wild glint in his eye. The Belgian Curse, what makes you smile is the same dog that makes you roll your eyes and say, sometimes in a panic: "oh, gawd..." The comedian comes at a price once in a while. If you want to compete or need a worker, this might be your boy.

Are Newfoundland dogs strong? Watch this Newfie pull 10,230 pounds. Stop looking at the lady's butt.
Because
they are so heavily built they don't have a lot of stamina. I don't recommend these dogs for anyone under 175 pounds. You're just not big enough. I would never try to control one with just a harness.

They used to pull in the fishermen's nets in Newfoundland. Now they jump out of helicopters and rescue swimmers. I've mentioned this before but they swim with a breaststroke, not a dog paddle. Their droopy mouth lets the water drain out. They have webbed feet. I've seen one drag 6 swimmers out at one time. If you take one to the beach they will constantly try to pull you out of the water.

The Terv is one of the Mal's cousins. Same markings for most, just a second coat that blows out twice a year. Same quirks and personalities, just more hair. When eating dinner and it's missing something, I find its hair that's missing. At the first sign of blowing, I give a thorough bath. It comes out easy and all at once. I give it to a lady who makes it into yarn. It's fine and soft like Cashmere

She is gorgeous!!
Coyote looking thing. Have to be careful in the Grasslands, she could get shot
They are both gorgeous. What mixed with the Malinois? Poodle?
Not Mal, she's a Belgian Tervuren. Same dog with a long coat and silky texture. Here's a photo of Mom. I'm afraid to get a Mal because people have been selectively breeding for high energy. For me, high energy is no bueno. I couldn't give what's needed to keep them happy.

I'm sorry for your loss, and share in your newfound joy.
Other dogs may have traits, looks, behavior that remind us of dogs we lost, and it is wise to realize that no dog is like another. I know that I am not "the same" over the course of a dog's life, and that alone changes the relationship.

I like Lord Budnicks, just from the pictures and stories and your relationship with him.
Your fostering is awesome, and I commend you for it.
My best friend, brother, son, "Bud" the Black Lab saved me from more misery or death, because he was relying on me, even though I had times when all I could do was take care of him, even when I wasn't taking good care of myself. What a story, and how God brought Bud back, brought us back together when he had been "dog-napped" when so many of my endless efforts seemed to have failed.
Dogs.. I hope to be the man my dogs see me as!

Talked to the breeder on the phone and it looks like I will be getting the girl Coyote puppy. She is a calm Belgian. That's still a fairly high energy level.
I like to wind my pups up a little and then wind them down. When they think play time is over, a sneak attack brings them right back. They like being screwed with. Pain in the *** puppies, aren't they great?
I've never had a dog that wasn't black. Here is my first, Keif. Purebred Shepherd and Samoyed. Super smart, super sweet. She would squeak out: "I wanna play frisbee" so clearly that I had people pledge to deny they heard it for fear of being called goofy.
