Bailey doing better but it’s taken time, off to the vets on Monday
Poor Baily
'cone of shame'

hopefully it's all healing well

--------------------------------------------------------

this time of year my lab/s likes to swim
seems one or the other gets "lab ear"
sometime in the summer

Over the years on my many labs
I've tried the drying drops
or the ears flushing
even the alcohol & peroxide flush
the anti-yeast drops (lack of a better term)
(allegedly they get yeast infections easily too, go figure)

it seems the less I mess with them
the less he has ear problems :poke: or less I notice :D
his left ear always seems to have a lot more earwax/dirt stuff etc.

I do check them often, with floppy-eared dogs
it's a mandatory deal...

I do love my labs

Elvis is just recovering from a yeast infection,
in his left ear
I noticed it, after him shaking his head after barking mostly
a months worth of that stuff, cleaning & medicated gell/suave

He hadn't even swum in quite a while either
& I'm extremely careful "now" when bathing them
to not direct the hose towards their ears
or make sure I dry their ears after swimming

I don't know how or why he got it this time

When I was younger it didn't seem like,
it was so damn often (every couple years)
I think I'm over paranoid now too
