If you are in need of an indestructible dog toy, West Paw Design's Zogoflex toys are expensive but my dogs haven't managed to tear one up yet.

Great tip on the "tough toys" and I'll get some of the Jive ball toys just because they float and the small size fits a Chuck-It ball tosser. I'm going to try a couple in that size and a couple of the large ones, the latter for pool use.
Thanks!
Anyone looking for tough dog toys look at the offerings from Kong.

Elvis's stash

the tennis balls big or reg. don't last but he loves them
a 1ltr plastic bottle
(like Lemon juice or Apple Cider vinegar comes in, are really stout bottles),
is cheap fun, I take them away once he starts tearing them up
he's on a mission to remove the cap 1st

the 10" (?) Tire, orange bumper/decoy
& rubber/silicone type mesh balls he has a big like 6" & a 3"
all from Tractor Supply seem to be great, he goes at them,
the tries need to be replaced like 4 years or so,
one of his favorite toys he tugs on it & chases it

& a green spike ball (supposed to clean their teeth as they play)
& rubberish like 2' long tug-toy (not shown) from Duluth Trading Co.
have lasted 2 dogs now

I train him to be a soft mouth with this one, a Malard Duck rubbery foam floaty decoy
no chewing allowed, it's 7 years old now (Tractor Supply IIRC)
it had 'a 1/8" string' attaching the head that didn't last long
I ended up gluing the head to the body, amazing it's still on it
loves his duck

more of my dogs stashes, some were from The Duke then Lord Budnicks & Now Elvis
good old stand by tied-up socks in a knot, a couple of his bears, & Elmo one of his favorites
it was Buddy's toy for 16+ years (Elvis gets his own 'new Elmo' for Christmas this year)
need to take them away when he stops
or could get shredded/eyes, nose, arms or legs etc.

Blue dog (tiny stuffed dog toy) from Petco,
from when he was a lil' puppy, slept with it
I'd throw it in his kennel a couple of times at night & he'd lay down with it and go to sleep
it's still intact
& a small Penn tennis ball, with his various leashes & collars

My rescue dog Luke. Had him for ten years. He's smarter than 90% of the people I know. He's an outside dog mostly, he comes inside at his leisure usually when its too hot or cold ir thunder storms. He lives at my fathers farm. Getting up there in age, is my best friend. Still gets around good. A few years ago I had to spend a couple grand to get him fixed up aftwr a run in with a low boy. Luke lost...

3 months in a full front leg cast and he was good as new. He gets arthritis and liver meds everyday and they seem to keep him active and youthful. I never miss giving him his meds even though I dnt remember to take mine to save my lifeView attachment 447467

Dog at bottom of picture and below is Cooper another rescue dog and Lukes buddy that we had for ten years. Unfortunately he passed away in his sleep earlier this year after a short illness

The big tire is a good one. For a couple years my Catahoula wouldn't play with anything else. I think he liked it because he could catch it while it was rolling along.

The stick is deadly when combined with cedar trees. Cedars have that thick sap that makes them take forever to rot away, so when their limbs die they don't rot and fall off. The ends break off and the roots become spears. One day a cedar caught my catahoula's stick, which happened often. He made a beautiful leap up into the cedar to get his stick, and ripped his guts out on a lower limb. The vet saved him, but he said if he'd known how bad the injury was when I bought the dog in he would have wanted to put the dog down.

I switched to the heavy zogoflex balls after that. Stick is banned now.

Incidentally, the vet used a spray-on medicine that increased the rate of regeneration. My dog ripped most of his belly right off, and had to grow a new one. I've got pics of him growing his second belly; I handled the 2nd half of the treatment at home. The spray we used got banned for some reason - probably because it was too good for us to have it. It certainly didn't hurt the dog - he's nearly 14 now and going strong, except for arthritis.

For that size dog, that is a long life.
Glad the vet patched him up.
Wish I knew what that spray was.
Probably some propellant that HAD to be used for the mix of the "good stuff" and it was likely BANNED by the Church of Climate Change...

My boys and girl like the glow balls my girlfriend gets for them, so they can play with me in the dark. They really love the spike balls I get from Walmart, but Liz won't let them have them any more, worried about their mouthes
My girl has had her teeth ruined by tennis balls, so nobody gets those at all.

Glad he's Ok now, that must have been tough...

Yeah  we have cedar trees here too
the broken branches are like spears
most of them aren't in his dog run, just gravel & redwood deck
with mesh & hog wire fences, car port/s & shed
& the tree's limbs are trimmed off/up
flush up against the tree trunks, to about 4' to 6' up
he runs/hauls *** under them, chasing mountain quail
or turkeys (outside the fence), jaybirds, freaken' acorn M-f-en' peckers,
deer or coyotes (that are outside his runs fence) etc.

his stick is Oak

anything he plays with
I keep an eye out for splinters or stuff that could harm him
I'm relatively conscience/keeping an eye on/out fo, of most of the stuff,
he knows I take them away when he starts chewing them up too badly...

Granulex V aerosol spray. The vet said he had a couple cans saved away for a particularly bad case, and that was my dog. He said he couldn't find the stuff anywhere anymore, so I thought I'd give it a try, being younger and more internet savvy. I couldn't find it either.

I think this is incredibly suspect. My dog regrew his entire stomach area and it didn't poison him or give him cancer. Other than being stiff with arthritis, and having some grey in the face, you wouldn't know he's an old dog. Think of all the burn victims out there, walking around looking like melted flesh zombies. If Granulex V works as well on people as it did on my dog, burn victims could go back to being completely normal. I'd rather try it than be disfigured for the rest of my life.

Here's what I found, FWIW:

Trypsin, USP.........................0.12 mg
Balsam Peru..........................87.0mg
Castor Oil, USP...................788.0 mg
With an emulsifier and propellants (Water Dispersible)
