Had some Frisbee time this afternoon.
Glad you stopped giving your dog tennis balls, especially if she eats them. My oldest shepherd has her Canines worn down to nubs by the cheap tennis balls I gave her when she was young, and my youngest shepherd is recovering from expensive surgery to save his life when he couldn't pass a piece of rubber ball he ate.She really likes tennis balls too but she eats them so I stopped using those. I wonder how long a baseball would last?
Sounds like a portion of the movie "Prince of Tides". Nick Nolte's mom served dad canned dog food with hot sauce.View attachment 1577292As a young man, my Dad didn't drink. He joined the National Guard for extra money and two units were activated for Korea. One went to Korea, and his went to Germany. Litres of beer were a nickel and he grew to love beer.
A few years later and now at home, he brought a drinking buddy home late at night and woke my Mom. "Get up woman and cook us food".
My Mom, who also grew up during the Depression and was pretty tough did what a wife in the late 50's did. We had a German Shepherd dog and I remember unwrapping his favorite food, Gaines Burger, which at that time came in the shape of a hamburger that was wrapped in plastic.
My Mom, the dutiful wife, got out a fry pan and grease, unwrapped a couple Gaines Burgers, and fried them up. The two drunks were happy with their meal.
My Mom was petite, but nobody to mess with. At age 14, I was showing off for friends and sassed her. She caught me with a backhand that knocked me over the front porch railing and I landed the bushes.Sounds like a portion of the movie "Prince of Tides". My Shepherd likes all toys and is stick crazy. He turned the Catahoula on to sticks.

A Shepherd I had in the past preferred wild fuzzy things.
