So Lumi crossed the bridge.
At 6 years old she had beaten autoimmune and was doing well, she suffered a set back and we tried everything, the vet was at a loss as all tests were perfect, every medication should have helped. She's been unable to walk for 3 weeks now, had bloated ribs couldn't regulate external body temperature. We all agreed it was time. Not knowing exactly what was wrong is the hardest part.

ESOXER, sorry for your loss. I think every dog owner knows the pain. I cried like a baby when I had to put our Mopar down (cancer, six yrs old.)

I was giving Diesel the Newfoundland a corn chip which I shouldn't do but I'm struck by his size. It's like feeding a Great White Shark a goldfish. He's very delicate in taking it which further illustrates the contrast in size. I said before if he's eating something large like an entire cheeseburger he throws it back and gulps it like an alligator.

On a cat note my daughter who is a vet nurse lost her cat Leo of 17 years this week She already signed up to pre-adopt two kittens that look like troublemakers to me.

Sorry about the cat, it’s nice she is jumping right back in and adopting two more. There are soooo many in need of a home.
