Your mentioning the cat food brought up a funny thing from last week. Our rescue Ridgeback dog Cora will eat pretty much anything, or so I thought. As a treat I bought her some grievously expensive frozen dog food, made from duck meat. I figured the fatty, rich meat would shine her up a bit. Nope, she refuses to so much as look at it. So I offer it to my coworker, who just recently bought(!) some sort of pure bred house dog. He rather huffily pointed out that his pure bred dog can only eat certain expensive special food, or it gets an upset tummy. His words. When I laughingly pointed out that he paid money for gayest dog ever he just glared at me.Thanks, still getting used to it. Like today one of the smart speakers out of nowhere said its been awhile since I ordered some Rachel Ray cat food, and asked if I would like to order more. I only bought that stuff for Groot to try and stimulate his appetite![]()
Our neighbours have a mixed breed dog named Jovie. It is completely bat **** crazy in a kind of good way. It has the most cast iron stomach of any dog I’ve ever seen. When we are out walking, Jovie has the uncanny knack of finding random dead things to eat. I seriously had no clue how many dead things were out there until I met Jovie. It could be old bones, dead fish, or other random bits and pieces of things that have died in the forest, and Jovie will find them. Lots of them, on every walk. And doesn’t get sick from eating them.
