I have a dome light in my 69 Bee that stays on regardless if the doors are shut or not. I jusr replaced both door switches as they were old however that did not fix the problem. All of the wires seem to be in great shape so I am kind of puzzled. Could it be an issue with the dimmer switch?

check to see if you can "feel" the dimmer switch click on and back off when you activate the switch for the over head light. the switch is a mechanical set of contacts attached to the switch and it may be stuck together.Good Luck!

I would also check to make sure that one of the wires hasn't come loose from any of the switches making contact with a ground. This happened recently with my '72RR.

That was my first thought too. The dome light is turned on by providing a ground with the door switches. Your wiring may be defective somewhere providing a continuous ground to the dome lamp. Get your meter out and start checkin'.

Jack leg story. I put the wrong bulb in dome light.. Which in turn keep the light on steady. .. It took me awhile to figure it out. It's a dual contact not single... check the bulb....

It is a dual contact bulb. I will try disconnecting the dimmer switch and see if that does it then bust out the tester.
