Door Channel Felt? Where to Find?

Hi Guys,

Maybe I am just being thick: I need to find the felt or rubber, or whatever it is that allows the glass to go up and down in the doors for a 1970 Road Runner. For the front window, the felt attaches to the window itself and allows the window to slide up and down the back of the vent window. For the rear, it attaches to the bracket that sits in the door.

I've looked at many usual possible places: Steele, Classic Industries, Soff Seal, Herbs and Year One. I can't seem to find them.

Help! Where can I find these?

hsorman, did you try Partsmix Mopar on eBay? I think they have them

IMO, Metro makes the best weatherstripping/seals for our old Mopars.

Looks like this has been handled,but I get mine off eBay kinda hard to find takes me awhile but it's here sometimes it comes with a full seal kit too .Good luck

You'd think I didn't even check, but I actually searched for awhile. Part of the problem was likely that I didn't really know the specific part name. Either way, I greatly appreciate the help!

Thanks for supplying that list. Those supppliers all list the kits as for the post coupe 1/4 windows except Dantesparts list it for the front door as well. I know the 1/4 window slides are the same as the front door but are the channels the same length and design as the 1/4 ones? Has anyone used these 1/4 ones on the front door?

Hey no problem at all Moparparts. I know the mopar part wording "W/STRIP-PKG QTR WDO&SLIDE&PIN" is pretty confusing. They're obvious referring to the vent window as a quarter (QTR) window. I was scratching my head when I replaced mine because there isn't this same type of seals/guide for quarter windows (I was thinking the glass behind the door glass). These kits will work on all front vent window guide seals for hardtop, post, convertible and 4-door/wagon. They're cut to fit and ride in the channels nicely. Not the most fun putting together and installing, but the thin plastic under the flocking was completely destroyed on my bird...had to go.

we got a set of the vent window trim from partsmix and when I popped the holes in them they were fine, but when I added the plastic guides and attempted to slide them in the tracks, disaster. they were so thin and poorly designed(no curve) that they tore the corner out an crumbled. in other words, unusable. so the ones from mopar were the ones we bought next, exact same install procedure and boom, right in the track.the mopar ones had a curve to match the track. so now we are looking for the rear run channel. it appears that metro has them in rubber and flocked. gonna have to give em' a try. thanks for the help fellas.
