Has anyone substituted the leather washers on the front door glass to regulator on a Coronet Hardtop?

Go to the hardware store and get some nylon washers from the misc. aisle. Or cut some new ones from an old belt or shoe. It's cool how many places Chrysler used leather in the early/mid 60s.

Do you think that thin plastic cut washers would work?

Try to get about the same thickness as the leather to keep the alignment the same.
