I have a dual quad intake with a part number of 1821319-9 and it looks to have a date code of 3-25-57. What does this belong on?

didn't Christine have a dual quad and i think she had a 361

Actually it would have been a Poly 318 for the Fury, but maybe it could a Dodge D-500 thing on a 361 or 383, or even a Desoto Adventurer.

The casting date would seem early for a '59, but the 300 E would have had 2 inline 4bbls on the RB 413.

Measure the width to see if it is a B or RB intake, assuming that this is a big block piece.

Acutally the movie car had a 350 cubic inch engine, and if you look close during the scene where the car reveals its secret to arnie and puts itself back together, you can see 350 on the valve cover. And yes, chrysler 350

I had a '58 Desoto Firesweep with the 350 B engine. Also in the rare and strange department, I had a '60 Chrysler Saratoga with a RB 383/3.75" stroke.

I had seen the 318 with 2-4s in the '57-'58 Plymouths, but had never noticed the big block before, however I looked in a service manual and you are absolutely right, it was an option in '58.

Good eye for detail. Can you tell me what Mopar stood in as a stunt double for the '67 Belvedere convertible in Tommy Boy?

a f*******n 67 GTX!!!!!

Nope, not even a Plymouth, but it was a '67.

I'm going to stand behind the car being a Belvedere, as every shot that I saw from the rear of the car had the Belvedere tail panel, tail lghts and bezels. I believe the GTX fuel door was also absent, but I won't put money on it without checking first.

i haven't seen the movie in a looooooooong time, but i vaguely remember a GTX grille. or at least a satellite. it was red, white and blue.

I would venture a Fury or VIP as an option, But I don't know of one that would have been the base engine, like the GTX.

Hint on the stunt double... The shot has a deer in it.

I just found it and recant my statement, the double is a '68... Confused yet?

Chances are it's not for a B or RB engine. I don't have that number listed so I can only guess it's from a poly 318 or early hemi.

waaaaaay confused!!! lol ill have to watch the whole movie now!!!!

Not that it would be bad to see it again, but I will save you the trouble....

'68 Chrysler Newport...

I'm guessing very few people, if anyone ever noticed this, and likely because of the very stealthy painted on gas cap... SWEEET Huh?

huh!!! son-of-a-biscuit!!! lol

so pretty much all the '68's had the round side marker lights then??? cool

The small marker lights with no reflector are a givaway on any '68 Chrysler product. The Chryslers and Imperials were a small square excluding the quarter panel lights on the 300 which were round with a red/white/blue surround.
