I've ordered a couple of times from this vendor with no problems, but now all of a sudden I feel like I'm really being jerked around over a 36.00 order.

WTF it's only a glove box and it's been 5 weeks. The day after I placed order and paid using Pay Pal I received notice that it was shipped. Two weeks go by and nothing I get the guy to call me and he wants to know if the car has A.C., I tell him no and he says he's shipping it out and another 2 - 3 weeks go by and nothing.

Just wondering if anyone else on here has placed orders with Atlasparts lately and what kind of service you rec'd., good, bad, or just plain ugly?

I ordered some small stuff and got the same deal. I don't think i will be using them again.
Sorry dude, I feel your pain. Try BEA, Herbs, Firestone collectables, Mancini, Roseville to name a few.

Not to toot my own horn but we only sell what we actually have in stock on our shelves. The only people that suffer are the customers that order from venders that either drop ship items or actuall accept orders on items that are on back order from the suppliers. The last thing I need is an unhappy customer over a situation I have no control over. See profile for more info.

Well said. That is the way it should be done. And if you have to order somewhere else at least tell the customer so they have an option to go through with it or look somewhere else. At least I can respect the honesty.

I lose plenty of business to other venders. The business I usually lose is from me telling customers I don't stock or don't have an item in stock they are looking for and I usually suggest other venders that I know are good from my personal expirience. Yes, in most cases I lost a sale but I didn't lose a customer who may return in the future. We try to stock a good variety of parts but just can't have everything. We have several hundred different parts and usually add new items on a regular basis. For some of my long time loyal customers I do on occasion special order parts for them that we don't stock but they are always aware of the possible delays and that all special orders are prepaid .We are in our 11th year and so far so good.

I was taken big time by Atlas parts. They said they had the correct maxwedge original spark plug wires. I ordered a set and they came in **** chocolate brown.
I called them up and said "what are these wires?" He told me they were OE Max wedge wires. I said sorry but those are something I never saw before.
He sais send them back and we'll give you a refund.
Well after 3 years I still never got my money back.
Make a complaint against them on paypal and dispute the fraudulent charges.

Don't know if it will pan out, but I did start a dispute with PayPal and I will also see if American Express will do anything.

Wow, I just looked them up on ebay and these people are in Temecula (not far from me) and I talked to a lady there once. Sounded real nice and thought they'd be a good contact. I kind of forgot about them until now, I can never understand why or how a business, especially a specific business, can do this to people.

Reminds me of a certain guy making headers years ago who stiffed a bunch of people who paid in advance for headers. But that's a different thread...

Well finally rec'd. a glove box from Atlas yesterday so this morning I try it before going to work and there's no way this box will work. It's marked on the back for a 64 Sport Fury. :munky2:

My question does anyone know if there is a difference between a glove box for a 64 Dodge Polara and a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury?

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, the only difference should be if one is an ac car.

Well, I can tell you guys one thing for sure: Atlas lost two customers because of this thread. I needed a new glove box for my car, and so did a friend, and I bought them at Spring Fling instead of Atlas. They were a little more at the Fling, but I chose to get them there instead... and Atlas is about 15 minutes from my home.

Word of mouth has a lot of power. I hope Atlas sees this and takes care of those of you who didn't get your parts - or the correct ones.

Been waiting myself to hear that a coil has been sent i got there. Ive never myself bought anything from Ebay venders, Heard good/bad about it, My son is the one who took care of this as he has the paypal account or what ever its called. Hope it comes without problems.
