anyone ever try to install a 22in 3 core radiator with late model off set fan shroud /
wondering if it will work consering its not the 26 . just a thought

i wonder if a off set plastic fan shroud would fit . does it cool ?

I use this Afco rad I bought from Mancini. The shroud I pulled off a Dakota truck at the junk yard and made it work the best I can. Ron

presently i don't have any photos. new computer without the photo software added. the radiator is a factory #2524972 that i had a 4 row core put into it. it has the inlet on the passenger side and outlet on the driver side. works very well.

ok , has anyone considered using the plastic off set shroud from a 22 that will bolt right on ?
im getting ready to buy the plastic one because the metal one is over 245.00.

to use the plastic shroud you will need the brackets for it plus will need to notch the shroud if the inlet on the radiator is on the passenger side. either way when using the plastic or metal shroud the proper brackets will need to be used. i had a 4 row 22" radiator made for my 69 r/t with the inlet on the passenger side vs the driver side. i had to notch a plastic shroud to get it to fit, it's no big deal to do.

I secured the shroud to my rad with the plastic tie type holders like the ones that come with a trans cooler. If you look at my pic you can see some of them as they just go through the rad core fins and then the locking piece slided on the end of it. It works great on mine shroud. Ron

Good ideas!

Any idea if a stock 22" 64 radiator will be enough, to use on a 440? The car was originally an a/c car, since removed. Need to go through it, yet, but believe it's in good shape.

if that radiator has a 2 5/8" wide bottom tank it would be a good candidate for a 4 row core. my '65 was an a/c car with the wide bottom tank/4 row core and the 440 in it won't run hot if you drove it thru hell,...lol.

Sounds great! Thanks for that.

Hope there's a rad shop in my area, that's decent.

If you do a just a 3-core you can still use a fan clutch instead of the solid set up. You may be able to do the same with a 4-core but I’ve never tried it.

From just looking at things...no tango. Radiator is #2445633. Not sure how many rows on it, yet.
From the Mopar rad lists, not even for a BB(?), though the car had a 383 w/air from the factory.

Might have to try it anyway.

measure how wide the bottom tank is. if it's 2" you can get 3 rows in there. 2 5/8" will allow for 4 rows.

Going to find a shop to look it over. Probably a stomach punch, but will see if it's possible to get new cores for it. Like everything else...needs some help! Or, just get another.
