Easy Riders's Capt America bike is back!

The bike shown in the crash scene was not the Captain America Harley. It was a Japanese bike with a tall sissy bar on it. See the scene where the bike is headed for the ditch without a rider. Look closely.
There are so many Captain America clones, I wouldn't bet even this one is correct. Give me a few$ and I will document anything you want!LOL. No one has mentioned engine serial numbers, but even they can be changed......................MO

......Grizzly Adams would kick your butt for calling him out on that, hehe......

They are! It's a "hard tail", no rear suspension. You better have cast iron kidneys and a strong back. Plus the seat has hardly any padding and sits right on the frame!

I'd believe it as I've heard the same thing from enough old timers. And that is why I own a softail! ;)

I actually own an ex movie bike from the late 60's / early 70's.... they were way more about the ride back then...

Today's bikes are like todays show cars... don't you dare let a rain-drop touch them...

I had my responce all ready to post and somehow lost it???
When the Easy Rider movie first came out, several friends and I traveled 120 miles to see it. And I have watched it several times since then. We all believe that the bike shown traveling towards the ditch and crashing-after Fonda had been shot off of it, was not that Harley because it had shocks on the back with a tall sissy bar and seat. Most likely Japanese which were disposable.
The second part is my opinion. It could be true and then again it may not. If I were going to buy that bike, It would take more proof than that. Similar things has happened before. These days I believe about 1/2 of what I see and none of what I hear or read. ............................................MO

Like I said, " 1/2 of what I see" I will have to go back to my DVD and check frame by frame. I've never seen this scene before. Possibly photo-shopped? .......................MO

The most beautiful custom bike Ever built. Period. Benny Anderson, who built it, never got much press for it.

Wasn't photo-shopped by me. I just did a search for "Easy Rider ending" and grabbed a frame from here at the 3:15 minute mark - http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...&mid=1314C2F1AFDD9C589E7C1314C2F1AFDD9C589E7C
This shows you were absolutely right. When I get something in my mind that I think is correct, it is hard to get me to accept anything else. I prolly would have bet money on what I thought I remembered. After all these years, I should know better!! Maybe "old timers" is setting in! 8-) ........MO

....I was looking over this old thread this morning and suddenly felt compelled to give Dan Haggerty a shout out. I watched him as Grizzly Adams as a kid, and even remember seeing him once in Dallas in 1977-78. The guy was impossibly nice and patient with every kid who, at that time, should have been emulating Luke Skywalker or Han Solo.....but we all thought "Grizzly" was just that much cooler....
