Edelbrock 1407

Don't alter the accelerator pump check ball/needle. It helps in cicut drain back. I use a .028 squirter, orange pump, rod on top hole and 7/16 float setting. No hesitation.
 
I put carb back together left weight over ball in pump well and put pump with stiffer spring/orange cup using Edelbrock 3/8 spacer under carb. Set primary blade with .020 t slot showing. I’m hoping I can get vacuum up with timing to allow use of vacuum advance from manifold and not have big drop in rpm from park to drive.
 
What is the idle vacuum with the VA unit connected to manifold vacuum? The man vac port is the lower port on the front of the carb.
G haven’t checked it hooked up to vacuum can just with vacuum gauge to manifold that’s where I’m getting 14 in park 10 in drive
 
Took a few plugs out they all look the same, odd color could be from Techron added. Been in for 17 years time for new ones.
