A couple years ago, I was in the self check-out line of our local grocery store. I was watching a young asian woman holding a baby and purchasing a few items, then pay for it with her lone star card (for those who don't know, that is texas food stamps in the form of a debit card). She paid for them and walked out. I'm one of those people who actually know how to use the self checkout, so I was done with my purchase rather quickly. As I am walking out of the store, I see the young asian woman who had just used her lone star card climb into a new $40,000 lexus suv and drive away. Not gonna mention how many lone star recipients i see with $10,000 wheels on their chromed out car.

I work in 'da hood' and our neighbor Mr. grille guy (aptly named for his gold capped front teeth) get's $1100.00 per month because he's an ex felon and drug addict and can't get work. Mrs. grille guy also get's $1100.00 per mo. for who knows what disability and they both get section 8 subsidized housing, which goes to the property owner to cover the first $1500.00 - $1800.00 of their rent. All they have to do is come up with $200.00 / mo for their share of the rent plus food, which I'm sure is supplied by the EBT food stamp program. Mr. and Mrs. grille guy are in their mid 40's and and I think they have one or two kids that live there with their kids, and that is another $***.XX per month to that household I'm sure. I'm pretty sure they run a day care (official or unofficial I have no idea) because I see a few little kids around, which is more cash income.

At one point grille guy and I were talking and he was complaining about finding work as an ex felon. He says it's really hard to get a job in his situation. I asked can't you go down the street to the Safeway and see what they can do? I'm sure you're not the first ex felon in history and plenty have found work - although I'm sure it's not easy like he said. He appears to be mobile and can swing a hammer or?? I see him doing work on his beater cars that he resells on occasion. I shouldn't be one to judge, but, I'm having a hard time seeing a reason why he can't do something if he put his mind to it. But why work for $6.00 / hr? The problem seems to be the nearly $4K per month the family gets from the bankrupt gov't that is the pinnacle of keeping their interest in trying to find work a non priority. I'm not against taking care of people in need but you have to know there are people that are taking advantage of a good thing.

National Referendum Amendment to the US Constitution

This an idea that is long overdue. It presents the concept of an amendment allowing for the passage of 'National Law'.

Passage would be by a popular vote. We complain about the pensions and medical insurance for Senators and Representatives but the truth is (as we all know) they will never do anything to change that. As well, Social Security, taxes, illegal immigration, jobs, energy issues and a wealth of other subjects have left people disappointed (dismayed?) with Congress. I was on line at the supermarket check-out counter one day, a disheveled wreck of a woman with needle tracks up and down her arms and legs is paying for a cart overflowing with items with WIC cards and food stamps and everything else. Her total out-of-pocket cost was about 60 bucks (probably about $300 worth of food). As she's paying, her husband/boyfriend walks up from the courtesy desk with 2 cartons of cigarettes under each arm and says "you almost done?" Why should we be paying for their necessities so they can afford their luxuries?

Sorry, you buy your own food - if there's any money left over you can buy cigarettes.

the 1% of the wealthiest have so many loop holes to avoid paying their fair share.
ive seen it 1st hand. Example Barry Schwartz, co-owner of Calvin klein had his accountant at his office the time i was their servicing his aquarium.
He paid less than 10% of his earning that year and he was screaming at his accountant to find him more deductions.
We are talking about $250 million that year.
He got real pissed at the accountant that he wasnt doing his job correctly.SCREW THE RICH!!

Years ago, Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in America, asked his office staff what they paid in taxes. The average he got was 35% of their checks went to taxes. The rich, like Mr Buffett, make all their income from dividends from investment income, that are taxed at 15% as "Capital Gains". Just sayin.......This is no slam against Mr. Buffett, he himself said this isn't fair to the workers. Btw, he is still elligable to collect Social security payments!

I'm not defending the richest people, but if some one who made $250,000,000 millions paid 15% of their income in federal tax that's $37,500,000 millions in taxes for 1 year... that's more than 37 people make in income in their lives, let alone will pay in taxes, in all of their life times combined... why should the person that made something of himself support the people that choose to sit on their asses & do nothing... Redistribute the wealth my ***, It's just wrong that Companies like GE that contributed millions to Democratic re-election funds "don't pay a dime in Federal tax's" the system is out of wack, if everyone that made income was treated the same, it wouldn't be fair the 1%-2% wealthiest "individuals" not Corporations (they are a different subject all together), pay way more in their life time than the "middle class" (I think I fit that category) dose combined collectively, how is it fair for 1%-2% of the nation has to support everyone else, they are the people paying the middle class wages, in most cases anyway... The biggest travisty is the "Death Tax" you pay Taxes your whole life & try to leave something for your children or family if you don't have children & your taxed once again after your "DEAD", W-T-F unless it's in a trust fund or living trust, then the tax rate is lower but the socialists liberals are trying to get their hands on that also now, why do they even want to tax "the dead period"... Estates should be exempt from any taxes... Just my opinion... When you sell the estate or have income from the inheritance you deposit in the banks, you will have to "pay taxes" on the some money again for the "third time now on the same funds" that were taxed several times while the person that left the inheritance to you was still alive... Were does the double, triple or even quadruple, socialists liberals governments taxation standard end... It will help the poor & middle class just as much if not more, then the wealthy, who are using the money to employ the poor & middle class... I received this video from a friend, and then I took the time to do an internet search to find out the real story about this neighborhood. It's not full of illegals, as the video states. I suggest that you check it out further to get the real story.

People should be aware that all they see, read and hear are not always the truth(especially on the internet). Please don't forget that the information is biased to the way they want you to interpret. Time for Joe the plumber or a gearhead to the place for a while. One way to solve this mess would be to go to some major companies in China and offer them a better deal to start back up in the US. No taxes for two years and you must hire local people, however, the problem with that is a large percentage of the the potential US work force has been conditioned to receive welfare for doing NOTHING.
