Mine’s black…
Is the rest of the car restored or in "original" condition? I would want to match the condition of the engine bay to the rest of the car.Brings up a question for an original (but not perfect) engine bay. If you were putting in a fresh engine, would you leave the original engine bay paint alone?
It had a repaint about 30 years ago. Paint is is in good condition, not perfect by any stretch. The chrome, grill, bright work, interior are all original and presentable. Top was replaced about 3 years ago.Is the rest of the car restored or in "original" condition? I would want to match the condition of the engine bay to the rest of the car.
I would just leave it unless it really bothers you cause its a lot of work so maybe do it when you pull the engine for a refresh. Its cool to have it still original too.It had a repaint about 30 years ago. Paint is is in good condition, not perfect by any stretch.
