Hey guys, I have been tooling around with ideas for a while now on engine packages, looked at the GEN II and III options, also some stroker crate packages from "Muscle Motors" and "Indy".

The car is a 70 RR currently under construction, it will be a "Muscle Rod" build, big wheels, wide body, custom interior, sitting low and clean.
I'm about 90% their on a decision and wanted to get some feedback from the masses.
I'm looking at the "Killer Crate" series from Muscle Motors, initially a GEN III Hemi package was in the plans, and the more I thought about it and researched it, those plans went to the waste side.

I have decided to go with a loud/nasty, big TQ/HP motor under the hood with a nice fuel injection setup.

The car will not be a daily driver, more of a weekend cruiser, may see some limited time at the track, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks,
Mike

Myself and a couple other guys on here have gone with Carolina Machine Engines (CME) They're currently building my 522ci 525hp/625torq Stroker which seems fairly comparible to the killer crate for about 4 grand less

Also from what I have read/heard stay far away from INDY's Crate motors

I still have both the 528 and the 572 for sale!

I've built both f.i. and carbed motors, i'd never spend the money again for f.i. over a carb, unless and only unless i was using a turbo...

Great!! Thanks for all the input, I'll be doing some heavy reading!!

That's good to hear, it seems like most people that I have talked to that have done the conversion to Fi, swear by it. I have had second thoughts and its a big chunk of $$$......maybe I need to reconsider going the FI route.
